Location: 37 kilometers from Margao, South Goa
Highlights: Cabo De Rama fort which is now in ruins
How to Reach: Agonda beach is slightly difficult to reach since it is a bit cut off from the main land. One can reach Agonda beach by hiring scooter or a cab. Buses don't ply. Situated at the south of Goa, some 37 kilometers from Margao is the Agonda beach. Secluded and a bit cut off from the mainland, the Agonda beach of Goa is the place to be if you want to be just with yourself and the never ending sea in front of you.



 
Location: Old Goa, 10 kilometers from the city of Panjim
Highlights: World Heritage Site, Preserved body of St. Francis Xavier
How to Reach: The Bom Jesus church is a very popular tourist attraction and can be reached from Panaji or any other place nearby by hiring a taxi, auto, or even a bus.

One of the most popular churches in Goa, the Basilica of Bom Jesus truly deserves to be given the status of a World Heritage Site. It is located in Old Goa which was the capital city during the Portugal rule.

 

 
Location: Canacona, South Goa
Highlights: Lord Rama and his wife Sita took shelter here during their 14 year exile. A chapel located inside the fort is still in use.

How to Reach: Terekhol fort can be reached easily by hiring a taxi or an auto from any place in the north of Goa.

The Terekhol fort is located in the northern tip of Goa. It is situated on the mouth of the Terekhol River and was built by the ruler of Sawantwadi, Maharaja Khem Sawant Bhonsle. The Terekhol fort of Goa was built during the 17th century.

Highlights: Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, Deer Park, numerous species of animals

Best Time to Visit: October to March
How to Reach: One can reach Bondla sanctuary by hiring a private vehicle from Ponda or Sanguem as it is well connected by a wide network of roads. Spread over an area of around 8 square kilometers, the Bondla wildlife sanctuary is the smallest wildlife sanctuary in Goa.
