Chennai
The World's second longest (12 km) continuous stretch of beach, in a densely inhabited region, in the world.
Was hit by Tsunami as an aftermath of the 2004 Indian ocean earth quake. The first pictures of the Tsunami was released from this very beach.
Anna Zoological Park
The sprawling 1,265 acre Anna Zoological Park is the biggest in South Asia. It contains a superb collection of tropical mammals, birds and reptiles amongst others.
Coimbatore VOC Park and Zoo (Amusement Park)
Named after the famous freedom fighter V. O. Chidambaram, the VOC Park is an interesting place to visit in Coimbatore, especially if you are accompanied by kids. For the young ones, the main attractions within the park include the aquarium, which has a good collection of different species of fish, a mini zoo, and a toy train for joyrides.
Velliangiri Hills
Velliangiri is flanked by hills such as Tirumalgiri, Ayyanmalai and the Dharmalingesa hill. The five faces of
Lord Shiva- Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheshwara and Sadasiva are seen as Panchagiri and as Panchalingas pertaining
to the panchabhutas, in Velliangiri. The hill ranges have abundant natural resources, which include rare herbs.
Madurai
Madurai or the "city of nectar" is the oldest and second largest city of Tamil Nadu. This city is located on
Vaigai River and was the capital of Pandyan rulers till the 14th century. Madurai is an animated city packed
with pilgrims, beggars, businesspeople, bullock carts and legions of underemployed rickshaw- wallahs. Dating

Meenakshi Temple
The Meenakshi temple, as we know it today, covers a vast area and is an eclectic mix of architectural styles,
improved upon by different dynasties such as the Vijayanagara and Nayaka rulers.
Ooty
Often Referred to as 'The Queen of Hill Stations', Udhagamandalam, known as Ooty, is one of the most scenic
and visited hill stations of India. Nestling at a height of 2240 m in Nilgiri's, Ooty is situated at a distance
of nearly 105 Km from the famous city of Coimbatore.
Botanical Garden
Bitanical garden consists of numerous ornamental plants that adorn this garden. Botanical Garden is also the
venue for the famous Flower Show held in May every year.
Pykara
Situated about 21 Kms/13 Mile on the Ooty-Mysore Road, boasts of well protected fenced Sholas, Todas settlement,
undisturbed grassy meadows and also a good wildlife habitat.
Kodaikannal
The place is Kodaikanal, secludedly situated 2100 meters above sea level, in the beautiful Palani Hills.
Kodaikanal is 120 Kms from the bustling city of Madurai and at least tens and thousands of Kilometers from
the mundane.
Bryant Park
It is a botanical park situated on the eastern side of the lake. It was landscaped and stocked by a British
officer after whom it was named. Cut flowers are exported from here. In month of May, the annual horticultural
show in held here.
