Some of the beautiful Churches in Karnataka are the Saint Rozario Cathedral Church which was originally built in 1526 which was later rebuilt in 1910, Milagres Church, Our Lady of Sorrow Church built in 1857 are a few to mention. Some other churches of Karnataka are the gothic-styled church in Virajpeth in Kodagu, St Mary's Church in Belgaum, St Philomina Church, St Mary's Basilica in Shivajinagar and Saint Mark's Cathedral which was built in 1927.

Mosques in Karnataka
The mosques in Karnataka has some beautiful mosques like the one in the Gulbarga Fort, which being built in 1367 is one of the oldest mosques in Karnataka. This mosque was built by the Muhammad Shah, a well known Bahamani ruler.
In Bijapur, the Jamiya Mosque is another marvelous piece of architecture. It was built in the 16th century by Adil Shah.
The famous Solaha-Khamb Mosque in Bidar, built in 1423 has 16 cylindrical pillars.
Ekminar Mosque in Raichur was built during the time of Adilshahi in the style of a Hindu temple. This style is very unique to the mosque.
Mangalore's Bunder Mosque well known for its woodwork is another popular mosque in Karnataka.
Temples of Karnataka
The famous Virupaksha Temple in Hampi attracts tourists from different parts of the country. The Omkareshwar Temple in Madikeri was built by the Kodagu rulers in the 19th century. The domes and arches of the Virupaksha Temple make the monument look like an Indo-Saracenic styled building.
Dharmasthala in southern Karnataka is a well known temple of Karnataka. The 1000 year old famous Shrikantheshwara temple is located in Nanjangud in Mysore. Another famous 19th century temple in Hamarajanagar is the Chamarajeshwara Temple which was built by Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in memory of his father Chamaraja. The Nangangud temple is well known for the finely sculpted stone figures.
